The Wild Escape is a nationwide art project that brings together museums and children to imagine a better future for nature.

Stourbridge Glass museum is excited to be a part of this project and invites primary school children aged 7-11 to take part in creating an epic collective artwork.

Using the world-class collection of glass animals created by Art Nouveau glass artist Amalric Walter, children are encouraged to find their favourite animal and create an artwork imagining its journey to a natural habitat. This project is an opportunity for the next generation to join in the conversation about biodiversity and the importance of preserving our natural world.

To assist with this project, Stourbridge Glass museum has created activity sheets and teacher resource notes to help guide the creative process. The resulting artworks will be brought together to create an epic collective artwork, which will be unveiled on Earth Day.

Led by Art Fund and supported by Arts Council England, The Wild Escape is an exciting opportunity for children to explore their local museums and engage with the natural world. Join us in this important initiative and help us imagine a brighter future for nature. The Wild Escape continues until July 30th.
