Join us for an evening of exquisite sake tasting (Japanese rice wine) and delicious authentic Japanese food at the stunning Stourbridge Glass Museum!

The food selection includes the following, made by a Japanese chef:

  • Selection of thin sushi rolls (Hoso maki): Cucumber. Crab sticks and cucumber, Tuna & mayo and Spring Onion, Smoke salmon and cucumber, Smoked salmon & Avocado
  • Large Sushi roll (Futo Maki)
  • Japanese omelette, cucumber, spring onions, crab sticks
  • Selection of Accompaniment dishes (like small bite sizes pieces)
  • Chicken Karaage (deep fried)
  • Chicken Ball Teriyaki
  • Japanese Omelette
  • Seaweed Salad, (this will be served in either sherry or liqueur glasses)

Experience a journey through the world of Japanese sake and food, guided by our Japanese host. You’ll discover the nuanced flavours of:

🍶 – Refined Sake 1– Hakutsuru Rice Only Maru. This sake uses the original koji mold, which is one of Maru’s unique manufacturing methods, and yeast developed exclusively by Hakutsuru. It achieves a balance of organic acids that results in a light acidity

🍶 – Refined Sake 2 – Kubota Kyakuju. It has a dry, calm, and calm taste that you will never tire of drinking.

🍶 – Premium Sake 1 – Hakutsuru Junmai Ginjo. An elegant aroma and a full, deep flavour. It has a very light, slightly spicy taste.

🍶 – Premium Sake 2 – Hakutsuru Daiginjo. Daiginjo sake with a gorgeous aroma and light flavour. Winner of the Monde Selection Gold Award for 7 consecutive years from 2011 to 2017.
